The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is the Agency that is mandated to spearhead the fight against Corruption in Zambia. It was established in 1980 under an Act of Parliament, the Corrupt Practices Act No. 14. This Act has over the years been reviewed in a bid to strengthen the anti-corruption legislation. In 2012, the Anti-Corruption Act No 3 was enacted following the repealing of the Anti-Corruption Act, No. 38 of 2010. As the lead institution in the fight against corruption in Zambia, the Commission is geared to professionally execute its mandate through investigations and prosecutions of suspected offenders; establish corruption prevention mechanisms; mobilise support and enlighten the citizenry of Zambia through community education programs.

Job Title: I.T Officer – Applications Developer

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze existing application effectiveness and efficiency and develop strategies for making these systems
  • Ensure that any new software intergration into the commission’s systems meets functional requirements and systems compliance
  • Paticipate in business process re-engineering by analysing user software requests and present solutions
  • Perform various software application tests
  • Create user documentation and train personnel on new application software

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent
  • Two years experience in software development
  • Web based application development using either JAVA or PHP or .NET
