The Civil Service Commission invites applications from suitably qualified serving officers to fill vacant positions in the Ministry of National Guidance and Religious:

Responsibilities

• To supervise and co-ordinate the development of projects and program activities in order to facilitate the implementation of plans and policies

• Supervising and undertaking timely preparation of procurement plans in order to guide the procurement process and facilitate decision making
• Providing efficiently, secretarial services to the Procurement Committee in order to facilitate smooth conduct of meetings
• Supervising timely and accurately, bidding documents in order to ensure transparency in tendering procedures and to facilitate compliance with laid down procedures
• Supervising effectively, the storage of goods in order to keep them safe and in good condition
• Supervising effectively, the supply of goods and services to end users in order to facilitate their effective operations
• Supervising timely, the procurement of goods and services in order to meet end user requirements
• Undertaking effectively, the maintenance of an up to date supplier register in order to
  facilitate identification of appropriate suppliers
• Managing timely, the development of departmental work plans and operationalization of Annual Performance
• Appraisal System (APAS) in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance
• Supervising effectively, utilization of human and material resources in order to achieve sectional objectives

Qualifications

• Thirty (30) years and above
• Grade Twelve/Form 5 School Certificate with a minimum of five (5) ‘O’ Level Credits including English Language and Mathematics
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supplies, Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS) Level ‘6’
• A Master’s Degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage
• Should be a member of the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS)
• Seven years relevant experience of which three years should be at Senior Management Level
