Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc (Zanaco) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following job aimed at contributing to the Bank’s strategic vision, in the Commercial Division under the Product & Channels Department at Head Office:-

DIGITAL MARKETING SPECIALIST (X1)

JOB PURPOSE

Under the direction of the Head-Marketing, the Digital Marketing Specialist will create and successfully implement Zanaco’s digital marketing strategy. The role holder will be responsible for maximizing Zanaco’s digital capabilities to create brand presence and drive engagement on the banks chosen digital channels including social media, search, RTB, website, branch TV etc. and create, place and manage engagement on the Bank’s chosen digital channels.

Under the supervision of the Head Marketing, the following are among the Job Key Responsibilities:-

  • Under the direction of the Head-Marketing, assist in the development and successful implementation of Zanaco’s digital marketing strategy
  • Create and execute Zanaco’s digital marketing, web marketing and social media initiatives to highlight Zanaco’s profile in the community and fulfil communications plan objectives
  • Contribute to development and ensure the timely delivery of effective online content that is search engine optimized and supports corporate initiatives and events
  • Develop impactful written and graphic content for online promotion
  • Develop engaging communication that is meaningful and stimulating to Zanaco’s target audiences
  • Manage internal and external content feeds
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in extending and enhancing online content and presence
  • Lead cross-functional teams in digital initiatives
  • Develop compelling communities online and build external partnerships on behalf of Zanaco
  • Using digital marketing metrics, monitor and evaluate the success of Zanaco’s digital marketing initiatives
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and maintaining a knowledge of emerging trends in digital technologies and their application to Zanaco’s goals and objectives
  • Monitor staff and digital community members’ compliance to Zanaco communication policy, social media guidelines and house rules.

  • External: Customers, third party service providers and agencies
  • Internal: All Divisions

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 Credits Grade 12 Certificate including Mathematics and English
  • University Degree in relevant subject
  • At least two (2) years (full time) in a similar role
  • Proficient in use of digital platforms including Google analytics, email marketing, social media web and content management system-tools
  • Experience delivering digital campaigns for mainstream products and services
  • Proven experience delivering a variety of digital assets, including rich media online ads, micro sites, and social media applications
  • Experience managing successful social media campaigns, and a solid understanding of social marketing
  • Solid understanding of web metrics, digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze and interpret data
  • Experience with MS Office, adobe suit, HTML/HTML5, CSS, JavaScript/JQuery, and PHP
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing and digital production.
  • Graphic design and experience with Adobe Creative Suite considered an asset
  • Excellent communication skills including inspirational and engaging writing skills
