Director – Human Resource Job – Deadline 18 November


The Public Service Commission invites applications from suitably qualified officers to fill the position of Director– Human Resource Information and Planning (HRIP), Public Service Management Division.

Responsibilities

To manage the maintenance of human resources inventories, performance monitoring and evaluation and records management in order to achieve effective human resources planning, utilization and maintain optimum staff levels

  • The Successful Candidate shall be reporting to the Permanent Secretary, Public Service Management Division and shall be responsible Coordinating the development and review of computer systems in order to facilitate rapid retrieval of human resources information and maintain an accurate human resource database
  • Ensuring the effective planning of Human Resources needs in order to facilitate their effective utilization
  • Ensuring periodic review of Complement and Gradings Register in order to effectively control the Civil Service Establishment
  • Co-coordinating effectively, the development and maintenance of records management systems in order to facilitate effective flow of information in the Public Service
  • Co-coordinating effectively, the institutionalization of performance management systems in order to enhance the overall performance and productivity of the Civil Service
  • Managing effectively, the utilization of human, financial and other resources in order to facilitate the attainment of the objectives of the department
  • Managing effectively, the implementation of departmental and individual work plans in order to monitor performance and facilitate appropriate remedial action

Qualifications

  • A Full Grade 12 or Form Five School Certificate with a Five O’level Credits including English Language and Mathematics
  • Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resources Management or its Equivalent
  • Five years experience at management level; and age of thirty years
