The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), a corporate body has been established by the Government of the Republic of Zambia under section 3 of the Civil Aviation Authority Act (Act No.7) of 2012.

The Civil Aviation Authority is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Driver in the Human Resources and Administration Unit and will be reporting to the Administrative Officer.

JOB PURPOSE:

To drive Civil Aviation Authority vehicles in order to facilitate the mobility of Officers, Materials and Equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Drive regularly and safely CAA staff on official business.
  2. Provide monthly report.
  3. Complete timely record of the log book in order to enhance accountability of journeys.
  4. Carry out the duty of delivery of the Authority’s mail and official correspondence.
  5. Undertake regular, basic vehicle inspections in order to ascertain road worthiness.
  6. Ability to detect faults on vehicles and rectify minor works on them.
  7. Ensure vehicles are taken for routine servicing timely.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Full Grade 12 School Certificate
  • Clean SADC Drivers License (PSV)-(Passenger)
  • Defensive Driving Certificate
  • Certificate in electrical or automotive mechanics will be an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience.
