The Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZiCA) is a self-regulated membership body for the accountancy profession in Zambia that was established under the Accountants Act of 1982 and as amended in the Accountant Act of 2008. Responsibilities
- The Education and Membership Officer is responsible for coordinating the education and training, examination, and membership activities in the region in order to contribute to the smooth running of the Institution
- The Education and Membership Services Officer is accountable to the Regional Manager
- Assisting the Manager in the development of the regional operational plans
- Assisting the Manager in the preparation of the regional operational budgets
- Preparing performance reports of activities undertaken for the period under review in order to provide an accurate record of the activities carried out
- Formulating plans for the recruitment and retention of members and students
- Coordinates the following, placement of trainees to undertake practical training in the region
formation and support of student chapters in the region
processing of examination entries into the management Information system in the region
examination paper setting and marking processes in the region
the holding of workshops and seminars for members and students in the region
the monitoring of registration compliance of members in the region
in accordance with the Education and training policy and Accountants Act - Assess applicants for registration as students and members in the region
applicants for exemptions in the region
examination entries and results queries in the region
in accordance with the Education and training policy and Accountants Act - Maintaining an accurate record of all educational, training, examination and membership activities in the region
- Liaising with tuition providers, examination boards and industry in order to enhance the quality of learning and training of ZiCA students
- Any other duties delegated by the supervisor
Qualifications
- Degree in Education, Business -Administration, or professional accounting qualification
- Three years relevant experience
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Good supervisory skills
- Analytical and problem solving skills
