ELECTRICAL SALES ENGINEER: ZAMBIA

REPORTS TO: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • To achieve sales of company’s products as per set financial targets for the year
  • To evaluate and report all changes in the industry that influence, trade and competitive activity to ensure the company maintains and increases its market share
  • Create new and maintain existing relationships with customers in order to promote increased awareness about the company and its products
  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements and ensuring that set targets are achieved within prescribed time limits
  • Persuading clients that a product or service will best satisfy their needs
  • Calculating client quotations and offering after-sales support services
  • Carry out evaluation of the market in order to assess company effectiveness and competitiveness
  • Analysing costs and sales and negotiating tender and contract terms
  • Co-ordinating sales projects and preparing reports for head office
  • Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs
  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education
  • Helping in the design of custom-made products
  • Carry out any assignment or instruction handed down by superiors
