Job Title: PM Bay Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Conducts supervisory activities safely in accordance with schedules and plans, and adheres to relevant regulations, laws, standards and operating procedures
• Ensures work is completed in a safe, timely, and efficient manner to support the maintenance and production schedules
• Spends appropriate time in field and ensures that critical controls for material risks are being correctly and uniformly applied and used by all teams
• Ensure that all employees are certified to execute the tasks/jobs they are assigned
• Approve maintenance resource allocation and work plans to ensure work orders and other resource requirements are fulfilled
• Take operational accountability for delivering against targets and budgets for Safety, Maintenance, Equipment Availability and Cost
• Supervise, engage and enable the mobile maintenance team to deliver against performance targets
• Establish the report as the shift progresses and update as new items for the handover meeting are identified
• Responsible for but not limited to all tasks/duties assigned or required
• Ensure effective communication with delegates prior to departure from site

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Certified applicable Trade qualification
• Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia
• Experience in large multi pit operations utilising large scale mining equipment
• Extensive experience in the use of a recognised Computerised Maintenance management system preferably PRONTO
• Ability to show initiative and have good interpersonal skills
• Must be familiar with safe working practices
• Five years’ experience in a supervisory role
• Must have a current driver’s license
• Possession of a valid silicosis certificate
