Responsibilities

  • To provide, monitor and control engineering maintenance activities and services in the Electrical and Instrumentation Section in order to achieve the set targets at minimum costs, whilst upholding safe and quantitative maintenance standards, statutory and domestic regulation compliance within the Maintenance
  • Management and Quality System procedures
  • Responsible for the execution and the quality of electrical maintenance work to be carried out on plant equipment, respecting budget, policies and deadlines
  • Contribute to the development of working methods and definition of procedures and ensure their implementation
  • Optimize maintenance operations, using best available tools and procedures in order to maximise equipment availability
  • Ensure proper day-to-day scheduling of works and necessary resources
  • Ensure completion of major operations within the schedule
  • Ensure, upon completion of repairs, that equipment is in good operating condition, ready to meet operational requirements, fully inspected, tested, clean and safe
  • Provide reporting on repair jobs including consumption of materials, specific tools, man – hours and skills, and completes equipment history files
  • Take adequate actions when electrical incidents occur
  • Participate in the investment plan
  • Manage electrical and instrumentation team, define the missions and objectives, carry out their performance reviews, promote the quality of the work and facilitate communication and relationships
  • Ensure and control quality of maintenance jobs from sub – contractors

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Five years experience in electrical and industrial instrumentation
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical maintenance operations
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and control systems (hardware and software),
    Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic and motor circuits
  • Knowledge in electricity and electronics
  • Knowledge of quality management methods,
    Supervisory skills
