Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) is a Zambian Non-Governmental Organisation improving the health of Zambians by conducting locally-relevant research, providing technical support and training, and strengthening primary healthcare provision systems in the areas of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Hepatitis and other infectious diseases, women’s health including cancer, newborn and child health, community outreach, and health systems strengthening. CIDRZ has been an active partner of the Government of the Republic of Zambia since 2001 through collaboration with the Ministry of Health and other line Ministries.

Senior Accountant – Reconciliations and Reporting HQ RefNo. SA/AC/22/11/16
Responsibilities 
  • Provide financial accounting support to the ACHIEVE project to ensure the program is effectively and efficiently meeting its objectives
  • Approves all ERP requests according to respective ACHIEVE  projects
  • Ensure Donor requirements and regulations are adhered and followed
  • Monitor all ACHIEVE  expenditures and advising program accordingly
  • Provides support for the Management/tracing of all ACHIEVE payables
  • Provides support for the preparation of the Cost Allocation process and all effort splits on the ACHIEVE project
  • Prepares comprehensive monthly management accounts on all ACHIEVE projects
  • Ensuring all budgets are in the system, analysis of actuals against budgets, commitments, staff floats (advances), cash flow and bank analysis
  • Prepares monthly accounts close outs on
  • Prepares all program audits on ACHIEVE including A-133 audits
  • Supervises all subordinate staff assigned with banks and other reconciliation processes
Biomedical Technologist – Ref No. BT/LB/02/17
Reports to Provincial Coordinator with guidance from Provincial Laboratory Manager. The incumbent works with the Ministry of Health staffs and partners in formulating agreeable standards and establish clearly defined quality methods to be applied in the laboratory. S/he will be responsible for strengthening the lab system and services to ensure uninterrupted lab service in the laboratory.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for day to day operations of all lab activities and ensure that the laboratory is kept clean always
  • Address lab issues at facility and monitor all laboratory as well as making timely submissions of the usage reports to MSL through the district health office
  • Provides feedback to provincial coordinator and lab manager on the functionality of the equipment, availability of reagents, consumables and other lab commodities and ensure that there is no testing kits stock out
  • Ensures that viral load and dry blood samples specimens are couriered to provincial PCR laboratory and monitor results feed
  •  Writes and submits monthly reports on lab services to district lab technologist and provincial labs manager
  • Ensures that all internal quality controls are done and documented before running patient samples
  • Ensures that equipment preventive maintenance is done and documented as required by the standard operating procedure
  • Ensures that the laboratory is enrolled on HIV and CD4 EQA proficiency testing

Responsibilities 
  • Reports to the Senior Accountant
  • Provide financial accounting support to the CIDRZ projects to ensure the program is effectively and efficiently meeting its objectives
  • Approves all ERP requests according to respective designated projects
    Ensure Donor requirements and regulations are adhered and followed
  • Monitor all project expenditures and advising program accordingly
  • Prepares comprehensive monthly management accounts on all designated projects
