The Judiciary of Zambia is an independent arm of the government. Under Article 91(2) of the Constitution, Judges, Magistrates and Justices shall be independent, impartial and subject only to the Constitution and the law. They shall also conduct themselves in accordance with the code of conduct promulgated by parliament.

Electrician (JSS 05)

Responsibilities

  • Prepares switching schedule for purposes of isolation for maintenance, construction/installation and re-construction
  • Conduct installation, wiring, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment in buildings
  • Carry out weekly inspections of electrical fittings and fixtures
  • Servicing of medium voltage installations
  • Identify and remove sub-standard and illegal connections
  • Carry out electrical tasks according to given technical specifications

Qualifications

  • Full grade 12 School Certificate with five (5) ‘O’ Levels including English
  • Certificate in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience of two years
  • Other Skills and Attributes Required

  • Good communication Skills
