Job Title: Tax Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and submissions of all tax components applicable to the MTN (ZAMBIA) Ltd business.
- Review monthly financial statements and calculate various tax submissions and deferred computation.
- Prepare quarterly provisional tax computations.
- Assist the CFO function by regularly preparing for internal and external audits.
- Resolve queries raised by ZRA or any other entity with respect to tax computations
- Review assessment raised by ZRA in respect of various tax computation and returns and engage if necessary
- Reconcile ZRA statements of accounts and ensure payments are effected on due dates
- Review contract terms to ensure that tax implications are fully considered by the business.
- Engage ZRA on any tax proposals for the benefit of the business and review possible Tax reclaims.
- Bring about efficiencies by review of existing processes and methodologies and recommend areas of improvement and cost reduction.
- Maintain and build working relations with the stakeholders
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting and full ACCA
- Five years practical accounts management in large to medium sized industry
- 2 yrs in management role
- Experience in medium to large subsidiary of multinational/telecom company
- Local and International tax Legislation
- Negotiation and Presentation Skills
