International non-profit organization Self Help Africa (SHA) is seeking a leader and team of managers to implement an exciting and ambitious new agri-business development project in Zambia.

Backed by the European Union and to be delivered in collaboration with Imani Development International Ltd, ‘ENTERPRISE Zambia’ will provide €20m in investment grants over a five-year period to support agri-business growth, and stimulate the private sector so that it can create profitable new markets for up to 150,000 Zambian small-holder farming households across the country.

A Chief of Party and leadership team, including Portfolio Managers, Risk and Compliance Manager, and other key staff are being sought to establish and lead this ambitious new project on behalf of the EU.

The Economic, Nutrition, and Technical Support for Increased Economic Returns and Profit Project in Zambia (ENTERPRISE Zambia) will seek to better integrate smallholder farmers and agribusinesses into value-chains at national, regional and international levels. The project will place special emphasis on businesses that will support diversification within the economy, create new employment opportunities for women and youth, and address such areas as nutrition-sensitive value-chains and apply climate-smart agricultural approaches. Six million euros in grants is being reserved for investment in the country’s aquaculture sector.

ENTERPRISE Zambia will ultimately seek to contribute to the income and nutrition security of 150,000 small-scale farming households in rural Zambia.
