Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor

AB Bank Zambia is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Internal Auditor. Reporting to the CEO, your main duties will include:

  • Ensuring internal audit requirements are fulfilled in accordance with Internal Audit Department Charter, Internal Audit Procedures and external legislation/ regulatory policies
  • Managing the Internal Audit Function’s activities
  • Communicating with third parties and reporting on internal audit activities
  • Obtaining, developing and maintaining an internal audit staff capable of accomplishing the Internal Audit Function and continuously develop own knowledge
  • Anticipating, identifying and promptly addressing relevant issues concerning internal audit in order to keep the approach, tools and skills of the Bank’s Internal Audit Function up to date

Minimum qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

  • Minimum 5 years internal and external audit experience
  • Minimum two years’ experience gained from working in either of the big five audit firms or internal control in a bank
  • Minimum 3 years managing a team of at least three members

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with Board of Directors Audit Committee
  • Banking experience
  • Experience developing audit programs
  • Digital Finance Experience
  • ACCA, CPA, or CIA candidate

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (including writing)
  • Team work and conflict resolution skills
  • Risk assessment and strong analytical skills
  • Mastering Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Dynamic, flexible, quick learner
