We are looking for an outstanding Human Resource with extensive experience in high profile and complex environments to fill the following position:
SME MANAGER – MAKUMBI
This role reports directly to the Branch Manager. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing the SME Portfolio by creating a fit between the Bank’s overall strategy and the vision and objectives of Retail/ SME Banking.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)
  • Driving growth by promoting the Bank’s products and services to potential customers and giving referrals to Corporate and Retail business units.
  • Proactively conducting customer visits and identifying cross-selling opportunities.
  • Handling customers professionally and ensuring that they are furnished with accurate information on the Bank’s products and services.
  • Pre-empting and actively following up on transactional needs and leads within a given portfolio.
  • Assessing activities of traditional and non-traditional competitors and their impact on SME Banking relationships with the customer.
  • Researching and analyzing market conditions and competitor market data to develop customer propositions and campaigns to increase sales opportunities.
  • Identifying, developing, implementing and reviewing methods of improving operational efficiency.
BRANCH MANAGER – SOLWEZI
This role reports directly to the Manager: Retail Sales & Service. The ideal candidate is responsible for the overall performance and routine running of the Branch as set by the Performance Contract.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)
  • Exhibiting sound knowledge of the Bank’s product & service bouquet, credit principles and sales & administration processes.
  • Cultivating and maintaining a customer focus by ensuring that all customers are handled in a professional manner and that all information provided is correct.
  • Strengthening the sales focus by proactively marketing and cross-selling the Bank’s products to new/existing customers to meet Business objectives.
  • Ensuring effective administrative management of the frontline service & back office support areas and collateral & credit facilities (in compliance with the Bank’s credit policy & procedures) while containing credit risk as per the Performance Contract.
  • Upholding the Bank’s brand and “code of conduct” by demonstrating; professionalism, commitment and reliability.
  • Willingness to perform any other reasonable and lawful duties as necessary.
MANAGER – PAYMENTS
This role reports directly to the Deputy Chief Operating Officer. The ideal candidate is responsible for overall Exchange Control Administration and Trade Services within the Bank and ensure that processes conform to business and regulatory requirements.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (KPAs)
  • Taking responsibility for processing exchange control applications which include; checking or analyzing customer requests or applications according to Exchange Control Rulings, submitting applications to Bank of Zambia and ensuring that Branches and customers are informed of application outcomes.
  • Ensuring that all customer requests are completed within specified deadlines.
  • Communicating effectively with the Bank of Zambia and ensuring that all circulars regarding changes or amendments on Exchange Control Rulings are shared and addressed.
  • Ensuring that daily balance of payment reports regarding inward and outward money transfers are completely and correctly compiled and submitted to Bank of Zambia.
  • Scrutinizing all letters of credit (including export) and to ensure accuracy in compliance with exchange control guidelines.
  • Ensuring that outward transactions are checked on a daily basis according to established guidelines.
  • Preparing forward exchange contracts.
  • Reviewing Nostro and Vostro reconciliations on a weekly basis.
