Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor

Reports To: Finance Manager

Department: Accounts

Location: Head Office, Lusaka

Grade: MGT 4

Job Purpose:

Preparation of financial statements of the federation on a timely basis which comply with existing Accounting standards and Law

Key Responsibilities

Management of financial monthly reporting
Analysis of reports to advise on cash flow, budgets and forecasts
Provision of high-level financial, taxation and business development advice
Making recommendations on process improvements and presenting those recommendations to senior stakeholders like Provincial Cooperative Unions
Delivering the annual budget and quarterly budget forecast for the Federation
Providing commentary on the financial figures of ZCF to senior managers and Directors
Mentoring and guiding junior staff

Accountant
Contacts (internal and external) of this Position, Departmental managers and external Auditors

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience required for this Role

At least 3 years post qualification experience in Accounting
Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy and/or a full professional qualification such as ACCA, ZICA, CIMA

Competencies required for this Role

Understanding of accounting and financial management issues
Technically strong and analytical
Has an independent and objective state of mind
Respects the confidentiality of Federation’s information provided
Well developed IT skills
Strong communication skills
Demonstrated ability to build cohesive teams and to achieve goals through teamwork

Key Result Areas

Timely preparation of quarterly Management Accounts and year end Financial Statements
