Jesus Cares Ministries is a Faith Based NGO with a call to do development work and bring transformation in poor and vulnerable communities working through the Government Line Ministries, the local churches, and the communities. In Partnership with KinderNotHilfe (KNH ) of Germany. JCM is implementing a project entitled “Integrated Nutrition Security Intervention in Zambia” (SEWOH)

Jesus Cares Ministries is therefore inviting applications from suitably qualified, innovative and Christian individuals to take up the following position: –

Nutritionist (1)

Position Summary:

Working under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Nutritionist will be based in Kapiri Mposhi District and responsible for implementation and coordinating all the project activities and networking with other stakeholders at district and community level. S/he will ensure that project resources are managed as per JCM and donor standard, supervision of other staff on the project and finalising reports for submission to the project manager.

Key Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of the Nutritionist will include, but are not limited to:

  • To coordinate project implementation on nutrition and health programmes
  •  To facilitate the development and implementations of work plans in all project sites
  • Network and facilitate forums for review and information sharing with key stakeholders and DNCC
  •  Track and supervise and budget lines on the usage of funds
  •  Monitoring performance and produce timely reports for review to the Project Manager
  •  Collaborate with relevant government line Ministries to facilitate capacity building trainings for community based volunteers and target householdsQualifications and Experience
  • Diploma in Food & Nutrition, Nursing, Health or related fields
  •  Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working with Non-Governmental Organization and government bodies in health, food and nutrition
  •  Substantial experience in grant management including budget holding and donor reporting
  •  Skills and experience in project /programme monitoring, review and evaluation
  •  Substantial people and program management experience
  •  Representational and advocacy skillsPROJECT OFFICER (1)
