Responsibilities
- Maintaining a close relationship with the Bank’s clients, in a cost effective manner, to maximize returns
- Assess, monitor and improve the portfolio, making appropriate recommendations to the Head of Agri Business, Commercial and/or Credit Committee to ensure that the portfolio is managed in compliance with covenants and prevailing Agri Underwriting
- Policy and that breaches are authorized at the correct approval level
- Market quality new commercial farming business in order to increase profits
- Direct, motivate and train assigned support staff
- Responsible for advising on, promoting, selling and structuring a wide and diverse range of financial solutions customized to best meet the financial needs of high value commercial agriculture customers
- Responsible for Customer service quality and efficiency, provide a central advisory/information/query handling service point for the portfolio
- Performing a proactive liaison role between customers and back office service fulfilment and credit functions
- Interact frequently and closely with all clients to analyse and establish ongoing needs and to assist clients to better understand their financial requirements
- Accurately and efficiently processing customer mandates/documentation requirements for financial facilities
- Plan and implement annual credit reviews for the portfolio
- Monitor of daily excesses to ensure that client facilities are managed within the parameters
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- Demonstrate a strong numerical skills and financial acumen
- Knowledge of cash flow cycles pertaining to the industry being analysed
- Knowledge of financial spreadsheet applications like Excel
- Knowledge of general banking practices and procedures
- Good understanding of the principles and practices of business economies and current business economic environment
- Good acknowledge of multi-level products available to agriculture banking customers and pricing structures
- Knowledge of the Banking and Financial Service Act set by Credit Risk
