Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc (Zanaco) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the following job aimed at contributing to the Bank’s strategic vision, in the Commercial Division under the Product & Channel Department at Head Office:

Job Title: Digital Transformation Senior Specialist – 1

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for strategic implementation of sustained improvement of all key processes in the Bank
  • Assessing, scoping and leading process improvement and innovation to achieve quick turnaround times in the Bank for business processes in order to attain operation efficiency and bias to cost reduction
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and conducts analysis to properly scope projects
  • Recognize and address organizational barriers to process efficiency
  • Develops rigorous control plans, working closely with process owners, project managers and senior management to ensure improvement gains are sustained on a long-term basis
  • Leveraging the appropriate methodologies that address business process problems and design new processes to achieve measurable results that reduce TATs and reduce costs
  • Assists assigned areas to develop and maintain process measurements and implement controls to monitor current processes
  • Manage the day to day implementation of projects
  • Implement quality procedures to ensure cost effective processes and initiatives are implemented
  • Manages scope and mitigates risk across projects
  • Participate in Evaluation of Tenders
  • Raise approvals to Management Tender Committee
  • Achieve and document cost savings results that contribute to annual savings goals
  • Validate cost saving with project teams and measure & evaluate impact of related initiatives
  • Ensures projects delivered within approved budgets
  • Manages the billing issues
  • Provides leadership and direction to cross-functional teams to execute identified efforts
  • Works with Process Owners to make data available to their teams to enable process improvements
  • Effectively communicates on the project information to Senior management, Superiors and peers
  • External, IT Vendors
  • Internal, All Divisions

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects
  • University Degree in relevant field
  • Five years working experience a related field
  • Five years experience in independently leading and performing business process improvement programs and/or innovation engagements using Lean Six Sigma
  • One – two years experience in banking is an added advantage
  • Six Sigma Black belt Certification is an added advantage
