Zambia Law Development Commission Recruiting Research Officer


The Zambia Law Development Commission (ZLDC) is a statutory body established under the Zambia Development Commission Act No. 11 of 1996, chapter 32 of the laws of Zambia. The Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified Zambians.

Job Title: Research Officer
Responsibilities

  • Assist the Senior research officer and any other senior officer of the Commission in identifying priority areas of research
  • Participate in the collecting and analyzing of data for use in law review and development
  • Draft and prepare working papers and reports
  • Participate in the preparation of project budget and project proposals
  • Participate in the arrangement, planning and holding of seminars and workshops
  • Undertake desk research for use in law review and law development
  • Undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the Senior research officer

Qualifications

  • Form V/Grade 12 school certificate
  • Bachelor of Laws degree/bachelor of Arts/Mass communication
  • Three years post qualification experience
  • Practical research experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
