The Zambian Governance Foundation (ZGF), a non-profit organisation, was established in 2009 to build the capacity of civil society organisations to influence policy processes at national and sub-national levels in order to advance government accountability and responsiveness to the needs of the poor and vulnerable.

Position: Programme Specialist/Communications

If you are passionate about driving positive change, ready to learn and take on new tasks as a result of organisational learning, initiative taking, and ready to work in a multi-disciplinary team with ability to interact effectively with civil society organisations and other relevant stakeholders, ZGF would like to meet with you.  You will implement ZGF’s corporate communication strategy and provide leadership for communications and media relations. You will manage all communication plan activities and build external relationships with ZGF’s stakeholders and the media to ensure ZGFs core
mission and activities are adequately communicated, with heavy focus on capturing and disseminating stories of change initiated by ZGF Grant Partners. You are conversant with new and social media and able to make use of web based applications and tools, such as infographics, Mail Chimp. Etc. Experience with running media campaigns on multiple platforms is an asset. You have a bachelor’s degree in public relations, communication, media or other relevant field and 5 years relevant experience.
