AB Bank Zambia Limited is a bank with the mission to improve access to a broad range of financial services for the majority of Zambian businesses and their owners in a sustainable and efficient manner.
We are currently looking for the services of a System Administrator.

Main responsibilities:

  • Designing and Updating the Server Farm diagrams for the Bank network.
  • Designing and Updating the Power Diagrams (UPS Devices) for the Bank network.
  • Implementing and working in a virtualized server environment (Hyper-V, VM-Ware)
  • Executing basic PowerShell or Command Shell commands on Microsoft Servers
  • Configuring Server Group Policies depending on the Banks requirements.
  • Configuring and monitoring Domain Controllers, DNS Servers, DHCP Servers and File Servers.
  • Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running.
  • Monitoring of routers, switches, and wireless antennas
  • Ensure and maintain a strict security policy as regards to the Server Room and all server room equipment.
  • Ensure that physical security of the domain controllers in Server Rooms is enforced and monitored using access control systems

Minimum requirements:

  • A Computer science or business related degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in a similar position in IT
  • Preferable to have banking sector experience
  • Good time management skills
  • Flexible to travel within and outside the country when required
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Good organization and planning skills
  • Adaptability and creativity
  • Commercial awareness
