The Scaling Up Family Planning (SUFP) programme, implemented by Abt Associates and funded with UK aid from the UK government, works with the Ministry of Health and key stakeholders to address unmet needs for family planning by scaling up services in selected hard to reach communities. Since the inception of Phase 1 in March 2012, the programme has expanded access to modern family planning methods by mobilising communities, building service delivery capacity in public health facilities, and strengthening commodity distribution in targeted districts.
