Rhodes Park Schools Group is a conglomerate of affiliate leading private schools and retail trading companies, offering educational services and products in Zambia, and has been serving the City of Lusaka since the 1960s. Our group of schools offers kindergarten to high school (K-12) classes that follow local and international syllabi.

Accountant

The job holder performs a full range of accounting and finance duties, including organizing financial data inputs and ledger postings.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure effective receivable and payable management in liaison with the Chief Accountant.
  • Ensure that all accounting records are timely updated, transactions processed and posted in Pastel.
  • Deal with customers on financial related queries.
  • Timely provide designated accounting reports, as assigned from time to time.
  • Prepare preliminary Audit Files as supervised by the Chief Accountant.
  • Posting and Updating Fixed Assets Register, and spearhead the physical verification of asset.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant with ZICA, CIMA or ACCA.
  • Must be a registered member of ZICA.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar capacity.
  • Experienced and proficient in the use of Pastel Accounting Software or equivalent Accounting Packages.
  • Preparation of monthly statutory returns and hands-on experience in the usag
