OTK Manufacturing and Trading Ltd is looking for suitable candidates to fill the vacancy of an “Accountant.”

KEY RESULT AREAS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Annual planning and Budget: Prepares the finance Accounts annual work plan and budget and monitor subsequent implementation and expenditure.

OTK Group Budget: Prepares the otk group budget after receiving budget proposals from all departments and sections and after approval monitor its performance and undertakes variance analyses and prepares variance reports.

Payments: Checks and verifies all payments to ensure that they have required accompanying documents and for correctness and approvals before processing payment.

Bank Reconciliation: Ensures that asset accounts and cash book are reconciled to the Bank Balances and maintains reconciliation files for the general ledger.

Cash flow statement: Prepare weekly and monthly cash flow statements for management for management information.

Fixed asset register: Maintains the fixed asset register and enforces asset management procedures and control system.

Internal and external audits: Provides all the required information during internal /external audit assignment (schedules , reconciliation, vouchers receipts,)and attends to internal and external audit queries promptly to facilitate smooth audits within the agreed time frames and preparing financial statements and management reports in order to provide management information and decision making.

Management: Proper Filing System, Organising and Maintaining of Financial Records, Document Controlling and Inspection of Account books and Accounting systems to keep up to date
Transactions Petty Cash Maintenance, Purchase Entries, Sales Entries, Updating payments, Updating Receipts, Booking Outstanding Liabilities, Booking all Expenses, Bank Reconciliation.

Compliance: VAT Filling, NAPSA Filing, ZRA Co-ordination and other Statutory work.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

• Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to quantify results
• Excellent computer skills
• Good communications skills, both verbal and written
• Action Oriented
• Risk Assessing
• An eye for detail

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Must posses any of the following: a Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Accounts with at least a credit.
• ACCA with all the levels completed or remaining with two or three subjects.
• ZICA Pro – Licentiate level
• Must be an active member of the respective qualification bodies
• Three to four years of experience in the subject field
• Certificate of handling pastel

REMUNERATION: ZMK 48 000.00 PER ANNUM plus allowances

TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Full time

AGE: From 22 to 32 Years of age

LOCATION: Lusaka residents or if one plans to settle permanently in Lusaka
