Accounts Assistant Job In Zambia: Afrisec Management


Afrisec Management a fast growing security Company invites applications from suitably qualified Zambian Citizens to fill the vacant position of an Accounts Assistant.

Reporting line: this position shall functionally report to the Finance Manager

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out supplier reconciliation and aged analysis on a monthly basis for major suppliers and quarterly basis for all suppliers
  • Ensuring all invoices are captured in pastel in supplier ledger
  • Ensuring that suppliers invoices  are properly coded in line with the applicable accounting system codes
  • Petty cash postings and monthly reconciliations
  • Maintain up-to-date Prepayment schedules and ensure regular monthly reconciliation to pastel accounting software.
  • Assist in the monthly reporting as communicated by the Finance Manager or Accountant
  • Project Management, in liaison with the Finance Manager, ensure project management i.e. all escort expenses are properly reported according to the set cost centres in pastel

Qualification and Experience;

Candidates wishing to be considered for this position must have the following minimum qualifications;

  • Full Grade 12 School Certificate
  • ZICA Technician and must be a ZICA Member
  • One year work experience in accounts Department
  • Pastel experience is mandatory
