The Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board (WCFCB) is a social security scheme responsible for compensating workers in respect of accidents suffered and diseases contracted during the course of employment in accordance with the provisions of the Workers’ Compensation Act No. 10 of 1999 of the Laws of Zambia.

The Workers’ Compensation Fund Control Board invites applications from suitably qualified Zambian citizens to fill the following vacant position.

ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

A. JOB PURPOSE

To provide financial accounting and related services, and perform clerical financial duties related to the collections of accounting statistics in order to enable superior compile accounting records efficiently.

B. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Issues receipts for assessments received from employers to Reconciles all the daily deposits with receipts and month-end reconciliations of the Accounts maintained by the Branch.
  • Ensures that records pertaining to revenue collection, BankStatements, Reconciliations and payment vouchers are properly kept.
  • Process all Branch Payments, maintain petty Cash for pension and operation payments.
  • Performs any other duty as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

C. JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must have the following:

  • Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with five (5) credits or better which should include English and Mathematics.
  • Diploma in Accounting Technician Courses such as NATECH/AAT or equivalent.
  • At least two (2) years of relevant work experience.
  • Membership to a relevant Professional Body e.g. ZICA,
