IT Programme Manager
Starting £45,489 per annum

As IT Programmes Manager you will act as a change agent while leading, mentoring, and managing our team of IT Project Managers and owning our PMO processes and templates. You will make sure programmes are agile, responsive, support operational delivery and that key cross-Federation and national initiatives adopt best practises and are delivered within budget. You will plan and design specific programmes and projects as well as co-ordinate other project manager’s activities. We look to you to develop our people’s skills, allocate resources, maximise resource utilisation as well as ensure project continuity and visibility. You will also set standards and lead the development of project management tools and templates, techniques, skills and capabilities across the organisation.
You will possess Bachelor’s degree in an IT related discipline (or equivalent) coupled with experience of working as an IT Programme Manager. You will also possess a project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or PMI and a good understanding of current and emerging technologies, standards and practices. You must have experience of interacting with the user community in scoping and requirements gathering for IT projects as well as of executing IT Programmes, projects, and implementing and maintaining IT PMO governance as a process.
Through contracted vendors and suppliers. You will have a record of developing high performing teams and your project management expertise must be complemented by good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. A high standard of English is essential too.
