Agora Microfinance Zambia Limited (AMZ) is a licensed microfinance lending company that currently operates in the Western and Central provinces of the country. The mission of AMZ is to ‘Contribute to the economic well-being of the poor through effective provision of appropriate financial services.’ The Company currently has operations in Mongu, Chongwe, Chibombo, Kaoma, Mumbwa and Head Office is in Lusaka.

Job Title: Mobile Money Agency Business Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • The Mobile Money Agency Business Coordinator is part of the management team of the Company and specifically focuses on the setting up and expansion of the Mobile Money Agency Business in all AMZ branches
  • As the Super dealer for the Mobile Network Operator’s, the Coordinator will be responsible for promoting expansion of new business and relationships for mobile money network, monitoring and coordinating the mobile money/agency business, monitoring and controlling the liquidity and float for all the branches and super dealer
  • Others include reporting mobile money/agency business performance as well as provide training to staff within AMZ among other functions related to agency business
  • Super dealer for the Mobile Network Operator’s
  • Monitoring and coordinating the mobile money/agency business in the local branches
  • Monitoring and controlling the liquidity and float for all the branches and super dealer
  • Communication with the different partners and stakeholders (Airtel, MTN, Zoona, etc)
  • Responsible for Mobile Money projects such as bulk payments
  • Verifying the daily reconciliation of the local branches
  • Daily reconciliation for the whole mobile money business
  • Weekly and Monthly reporting to the CFO
  • Preparing all the models for daily reconciliation
  • Provide training to the local branches
  • Expand the mobile money/agency business

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Good knowledge and experience of mobile money transactions and/or agency banking in a busy environment
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Good leadership, analytical skills and ability to propose improvements in operational processes and procedures for enhanced efficiency.
