Job Overview
The management accountant is a middle management role that will report to the Chief Financial officer, duties will be as follows:
Responsibilities
- Preparation of financial statements
- Preparation of management accounts
- Oversee the postings in the system
- Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Management of statutory obligations
- Management of the Fixed asset register
- Manage the purchases and administration unit
- Provide information for audits
- Recommend ways of cutting costs
- Making sure spending is in line with budgets
- Work with all departments and the senior management team to make financial decisions
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in Economics, ACCA/CIMA/ZiCA finalist
- Two years’ work experience in a similar role preferably in a financial institution
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Dashboards
SKILLS
- Good inter-personal and communication skills.
- Analytical, organizational and leadership skills.
- Good report writing and oral presentation skills.
