Finance Business Planning Executive
Department: Airtel Money
Job Purpose
The role holder will be responsible for the preparation of management/financial reports, performance management and management of Revenues and Provisions.
Reporting to the Airtel Manager Finance Manager, the main duties will be:
Forecasting and Variance Analysis
- Coordinate and prepare monthly flash and forecast by set timelines. (Liaise with Function heads on expected performance of current month and remaining months in Forecast Period)
- Provide detailed performance analysis against AOP and Flash
Business Analysis
- Review and assess business impact of new product launches and Initiatives with Airtel Money Section Heads
- Market Research – Analyse Competitor Strategy and KPI Data
- Post Product launch analysis
- Monthly Tariff Margin Analysis
- Trend analysis of Revenue by Bucket, Arpu
Opex Management
- Monitoring Opex Approvals and updating functions on YTD Spend
- Obtain appropriate approvals for Cost overrun
- Maintain expense trackers against Flash and AOP
Business Reporting
- Timely and accurate reporting of daily CWN with Commentaries on performance
- Weekly report on current business activities (sales marketing) including competitor
- Collate monthly KPI data for Mapa to be submitted to Outsourced partner (Infosys)
- Prepare MAPA commentary as per group deadline
Financial Reporting
- Ensure Journal entries are correctly approved and posted
- Ensure all operating expenditure are captured and are in line with Accounting standards
- Accounting for Provisions and Accruals, provide input data to Outsourced partner
Payments
- Enter Payments in Citi Direct for Approval.
- Enter Allocations in non-integrated banks as per bank statement
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
- University degree in Accounting or Business
- Professional qualification: CIMA / ACCA (mandatory with second to third level acceptable)
- Good knowledge of all accounting functional areas
- Advanced Computer Skills
- Able to operate in a performance driven organization
Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
- 3 years’ experience and knowledge of working with commission’s statements, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and/or receivables, and general ledger accounting
- Basic knowledge and use of technical principles, theories and concepts in products and accounting
- Banking experience in settlements/reconciliation (mandatory)
