JOB PURPOSE
To establish, implement and maintain the Fixed Assets Processes and Procedures to an acceptable standard in conformity with all applicable Accounting Company/Group policy and IFRS in Airtel Networks Zambia Plc.
REPORTING TO THE FINANCIAL REPORTING MANAGER, THE MAIN DUTIES ARE:
- Proper Review of File Creation Report for capitalization (Through PTC process)
- Timely Resolution of Issues raised by Capitalization team.
- Review of Ageing Capital Inventory sitting in Warehouse/Sites/CWIP-CL and Pushing networks for deployment
- Submission of Month End Inputs for Book Closure
- Review of all Critical Reconciliations before month end
- Review of Depreciation month on month Variances and providing an update to management
- Ensure adequate controls in place to ensure minimal/no internal/ external audit SAD/SUD.
- Close control issues raised during audits in a timely manner.
- Correct Process Issues at source level and averts further reoccurrences
- Create mechanisms for periodic physical site count and reconciliation to the FAR, physical capital inventory in warehouse and reconciliation to the GL.
- Monthly Warehouse Visit to review the Inventory Management Process.
- Oversee the Quarterly Warehouse Inventory Physical Verification
- Timely Response to Queries Raised or Information tracker for different Stakeholders.
- In charge of Capex reporting and direct reports
REQUIREMENTS
- University Degree in Accounting and/or ACCA/CIMA qualification
- Certified Public Accountant (Zambia) or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, Sound Financial Accounting knowledge
- 4-5 years of experience
- Telecom experience is desirable
- Able to operate in a performance driven organization
- Good presentation and communication skill
- Good time management skill
