JOB PURPOSE
Provide leadership to ensure Efficiency and effectiveness of supply chain process in responding to operational and capital needs and in implementing the supply chain strategy for cost optimization throughout the supply chain cycle.
REPORTING TO THE MANAGING DIRECTOR, THE ROLE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Monitoring of CAPEX and OPEX
- Ensure monitoring of OPEX and CAPEX to keep them within the budgets approved and report any variance timely
Optimization of CAPEX and OPEX
- Inventory management and warehouse space optimization
- Optimization of logistics costs
- Drive OPEX reduction initiatives in cross functional teams
- Monthly Analysis and reduction of site energy cost
- Ensure optimum utilization of assets
Internal Customer Satisfaction
- Contract Governance of various central contracts and Managed Service partners
- Cost effective procurement and efficient delivery management of items to be purchased in country
- Drive satisfaction of Internal Customers
Process Adherence
- Implementation of SCM Transformation Programs
- Benchmark in ICE Score ( Internal Audit Observation Report )
- Ensure compliance with all company standards and processes for the procurement of goods and services
- Ensure all facility and network deployment is with all statutory and other state government approvals
Vendors Satisfaction
- Drive partner satisfaction
- Timely payment release
- Timely sharing of plans with the partners so that they are aligned to Airtel needs
Employee Development and Satisfaction
- Retention of Top talent and Critical Position
- Drive Employee Engagement resulting in world class performance
REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
- A recognised first or upper second class honours degree in a technical or financial subject.
- Post graduate qualification in a supply chain topic and/or full MCIPS are desirable, as is substantial in-career training in relevant subjects
Relevant Experience (Type of experience and minimum number of years)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement/supply chain management with at least 5 years at senior management experience.
- Experience in a technical environment is desirable.
Other requirements (Behavioral etc.)
- Ability to operate in a multi-cultural, multi discipline environment
- Management of a multi-vendor ecosystem
- Manage expectations of multiple stakeholders – partners, vendors, dealers
- Manage complex assignments / projects in a moving environment
- Handle internal pressure to expedite the end to end management of the supply chain
