JOB TITLE: ANIMAL ATTENDANT, CENTRAL SERVICES UNIT (2 Positions)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for looking after animals which includes feeding, herding, milking and breeding animals used for student practicals.
  • Cleaning the kraals to ensure hygiene and cleanliness where animals live to avoid breeding or spread of diseases.
  • Maintaining the Paddocks and cleaning school surroundings.
  • Responsible for growing pastures for the animals and delivery of hey to eating places.
  • Responsible for burning animal carcasses in designated areas.
  • Assisting superiors in conducting artificial insemination on animals for production of specific breeds.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • At least one (1) year working experience in animal handling.
