The holder this position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.

  • Cutting of keyways on shafts.
  • Cutting of splines on shafts.
  • Cutting of gears.
  • Drilling of liner plates.
  • Counter sinking of holes.
  • Reaming of holes.
  • Drilling of flanges.
  • Drilling and tapping threaded holes Machining of new shafts, landings for bearings and threads for locking attachments..
  • Machining of pulleys and couplings.
  • Threading of components.
  • Machining of components as per drawing for new designs.
  • Cutting of keyways in hubs, couplings and pulleys.
  • Cutting of splines in hubs couplings and pulleys.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for all direct reports on an ongoing basis, with a particular focus on Zambian employees
  • Other duties as  instructed by the Supervisor

Qualifications

  •  Minimum of a Grade Ten (Grade 12)
  • Craft Certificate from recognised institution
  • Member of the EIZ

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience as a qualified Machinist
