Job Title: Assistant Accountant
Position Summary:

The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions. This will include, but is not limited to, processing and recording transactions, submitting monthly financial reports and any other as assigned . This Assistant Accountant will report to the Accountant.

Responsibilities:

Manage/conduct all financial/accounting aspects of company operations.
Prepare monthly management reports
Liaise with banking institutions in collaboration with Accountant, Chief Accountant.
Maintain bank, cash, and checkbook records.
Prepare monthly payroll and related taxes, including the recording of applicable benefits.
Assist with maintenance of office files as needed.
Complete other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:

Two to three years of experience working in an accounting function
Strong knowledge of MS Excel
Strong knowledge using an accounting application, Pastel Partner an added advantage
Excellent financial record-keeping and organisation skills
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines essential
NATec, CAT, AAT or any similar accounting qualification
