Chambeshi Water Supply and Sanitation Company Limited (ChWSSC), is the utility Company based in Northern and Muchinga Provinces of Zambia and in charge of providing water and sanitation services to the 12 districts. As a Company, we are the implementing agency of the National Vision with regard to water and sanitation in the urban towns of Muchinga and Northern Provinces. Our vision “is to be the most effectively managed utility in Zambia” by focusing on ensuring that our customers are delighted with the quality of our services.
The Company now invite applications from suitably qualified Zambians to fill the following vacancies:

ASSISTANT BILLING OFFICER X 1 SALARY GRADE CMS 6

Job Purpose:

Responsible for timely production and distribution of customer bills and maintenance of customer files to enhance revenue collection

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives meter reading schedules from districts and in-puts them in the company billing system.
  • Generates customer bills of each month
  • Prepares the monthly billing report
  • Makes accurate adjustments to customer accounts after receiving advice from the districts.
  • Cleans up the database after billing
  • Attends to and resolves customer queries and complaints and refers unresolved queries and complaints to the Customer Services Manager
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor from time to time

Qualifications and experience

  • Diploma in Accountancy, Computer Science with practical experience in a Water Sector
  • A minimum of 3 years post qualification experience.
  • Member of ZICA or the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
