Responsibilities
- To coordinate the development of ICT Infrastructure in order to facilitate communication at national and international levels
- The Successful Candidate will be reporting to the Director and shall be responsible for
Coordinates effectively, the development and review of legislation, policies, standards and guidelines on ICT in order to guide and promote the growth of the ICT sector - Coordinates effectively, the development, maintenance and upgrading of public ICT
- Infrastructure in order to facilitate communication and service delivery
- Coordinates effectively the development and implementation of e-Government programs in order to enhance provision of public services
- Manages effectively the provision of technical support in the development of ICT infrastructure in the Public Service in order to enhance utilization of ICTs
- Coordinates effectively the development and implementation of IEC programs for the promotion of ICT in Zambia in order to increase their utilization
- Coordinates the monitoring and implementation of international agreements on ICTs in order to meet regional and international obligations
- Coordinates effectively the promotion of research on ICTs in order to facilitate the uptake of appropriate technologies by the Zambian market
- Coordinates timely, the development of work plans and implementation of the APAS in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance staff performance in the department
- Coordinates effectively, the utilization of human, financial and other resources in the department in order to facilitate the attainment of Departmental objectives
Qualifications
- A Full Grade 12 Form-Five School Certificate with five ‘O’ Level Credits including English Language and Mathematics
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering or its equivalent
- Membership to EIZ and other relevant Professional Bodies
- Eight years working experience, three of which should be at senior management level
