ASSISTANT FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT – EXPENDITURE X 1

Reporting to: Financial Accountant

Job Purpose

To carryout Bank accounts reconciliations, Management of petty cash, raising all payment vouchers, ensure all funds are deposited promptly etc.

ASSISTANT FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT-EXPENDITURE ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carrying out bank accounts reconciliations for all the District accounts
  • Management of Petty Cash
  • Ensure that all imprest requests for staff are properly approved
  • Ensure all staff imprests are raised in accordance with the procedures.
  • Ensuring that the district sends collections reports on a daily basis
  • Batching all payments into pastel for checking
  • Maintain adequate payment registers to track payment distribution.
  • Ensure that all supplier payment vouchers have all the supporting documents attached. These include PRs, Quotations, Orders, Delivery Notes, GRNs ,Invoices and Receipts, etc
  • Ensure that the system of replenishing and retirement is effectively working.
  • That all districts comply with limits and procedure of Operational Funds.
  • Ensure that documents are properly filed and archived.
  • Presenting Printed batches for checking.
  • Filing all journal postings that have been approved.
  • Preparation of petty cash Analysis Reports

Qualifications

  • Computer Literate, proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Must have ZICA Licentiate, CIMA Level(II),ACCA Level (II), CAZ application certificate as minimum qualification
  • One year experience in this field is an added advantage.
  • Must have knowledge of Pastel Evolution
