The Bank is looking for suitably qualified persons to apply for the following position:
ASSISTANT INVESTMENT OFFICERS (5)
JOB SUMMARY
Required to prepare bankable appraisals for various banking facilities including project appraisal for
consideration by Management and the Board.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Proactively sell DBZ Products and Services, by identifying and visiting potential clients
- Respond to client queries and applications
- Undertake prior lending field visitations of potential clients, due diligence (under supervision) on the Bank’s potential clients.
- Assist in the preparation of credit proposals to the Projects Management Committee/Investments
Board Committee - Assist in the preparation of Facility Letters for approved loans.
- Carry out status enquiries on d Ents and collect all Know Your Customer (KYCs)
- On approval of such facilities, ensure compliance of pre-conditions and perfection of all security documentation before file is forwarded to the supervision department.
- To maintain client credit files in the acceptable format and ensure completeness of information as
per policy requirement as well as acceptable due diligence standards. - Undertake client calls, site visits and all collateral inspections on all credit clients under portfolio and document same as separate reports from appraisal papers
- Carry out any other work as may be assigned by the supervisor or any other senior staff in the
department.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Grade twelve certificate with 5 ‘O’ level including Mathematics and English
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Agriculture, Natural Sciences, Economics, Accounts or any
related Degree.
Skills and Specifications
- Must be Honest and must possess a high level of integrity
- Banking experience desirable
- Analytical and numerical skills
- Report writing skills
