Investrust Bank Plc (IBP) is looking for suitably qualified, vibrant and self-motivated individuals to fill the position that has fallen vacant as below:
Position Title: Assistant IT Manager – Hardware Support
Location: Lusaka Main
Purpose of the Job
Reporting to Senior IT Manager – Technical Support and Operations will be responsible for providing the Bank’s hardware, network, and software support while ensuring maximum system availability and uptime.
The job holder will be responsible for the following:
- Install, support and maintenance of all computer hardware. E.g. servers, UPS/ Invertors, ATMs, Personal Computers, Printers and Hardware peripherals in line with best practice.
- Monitor network & Server performance (availability, bandwidth, Memory & Disk utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
- Define network policies and procedures
- Ensure that user requests/incidents are resolved within the specified period in the SLA and escalate issues accordingly.
- Provide root cause analysis for the network and hardware failures
- Maintain and manage ATM operations, this includes working with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure ATMs are in compliance and in proper working order and processing transactions during expected time frames.
- Communicate and track ATM down-time to minimize business impact.
- Ensure change management processes are followed and documented according to the Bank’s procedures and hardware upgrades.
- Create and maintain inventory for all Bank’s hardware assets.
- Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery planning/ recovery strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/Information Technology/ Information Systems.
- At least 3 years post qualifying experience in the ICT field.
- Experience in hardware, network & software support (Network design,
- Configuration, installing and troubleshooting software and hardware infrastructure).
- Ability to work with all levels of IT staff inside and outside the organization.
- Ability to think through problems and visualize solutions.
- Experience on NCR and GRG ATMs along with skillset to diagnose issues on ATMs from journal and ATM logs will be added advantage.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Proactive and a self-starter.
