Bank Of Zambia Fresh Job Recruitment: Office Assistant


The Bank of Zambia was established to take over from the Bank of Northern Rhodesia on the 7th of August,1964 although its Act was only passed in June, 1965. The Bank of Northern Rhodesia was itself constituted from the Lusaka branch (established in September, 1961) of the Bank of Rhodesia and Nyasaland after it broke up together with the Federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland on the 31st of December, 1963.

Job Title: Office Assistant (10)
Responsibilities
  • Clean the banks premises and surroundings in order to ensure a healthy and hygienic working environment
  • Prepare beverages in offices and conference rooms for meetings to ensure a high standard f hospitality
  • Deliver mails or files and other documents between offices and outside the office to ensure that correspondence and other documents reach the recipients timely for prompt dissemination of information
  • Report all faults on their respective floors and other areas of the bank to the House keeper so that they are attended to promptly
  • Move items such as equipment, stationary and office furniture to create convenient work environment
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 certificate with credits or better in English and Maths
  • One year work experience in a reputable organisation
  • Formal training in Office Management an added advantage
  • Good communication skills
  • Initiative and ability to adapt to new environment
