Researcher (HO)

Grade: BOZ 4

Job Purpose

To generate data on currency-related issues in the Currency Division so as to ensure effective creation and maintenance of a comprehensive, reliable and up-to-date statistics on currency-related variables, analytical reports and conduct research on currency issues, in fulfillment of the departments objectives

Main Accountabilities

• Examine and authenticate currency counterfeits
• Participate in periodic currency surveys
• Monitor and analyse performance of currency denominations in circulation
• Participate in scheduled currency sensitization campaigns
• Facilitate currency data collection for analyses

Qualifications and Experience

• BSc/BA/BBA/ACCA in banking and finance; Accountancy; Business Administration or equivalent with 3 years relevant experience
• Grade 12 school certificate with five O Levels (Credit or better, Including English and Mathematics)

Key Knowledge and Attributes

• Good background in management accounting and/or financial research and analysis

 

• Should be computer literate and posse the ability to use modern forecasting techniques
