BBC Media Action in Zambia is working on a sexual and reproductive health programme which includes a radio and TV show and online content. In the past, BBC Media Action has worked with national, local and community media to help build skills to foster dialogue and debate between leaders and ordinary people. BBC Media Action supported the first-ever televised presidential debates ahead of national elections in the country in 2011, and worked with a wide range of local media and civil society organisations to ensure fair, balanced and accurate reporting of the elections. BBC Media Action is the international development charity of the BBC. BBC Media Action uses media and communication to reduce poverty and promote human rights in developing countries.Our work in Zambia currently falls into two main thematic areas: governance and health. We are currently looking to recruit the following position:

Job Title: Finance and Administration Assistant – 1

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for providing support to all finance and administration functions including the management of grants

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • ZICA Technician or Part Licentiate / ACCA/CIMA Level 1 or part level 2 or diploma in Business Administration
  • Two years working experience within a recognised NGO or INGO
  • Be an Affiliate Member of the relevant professional Body
  • Competent in Microsoft Excel and Word
