Job Title: Workshop Supervisor
BIA Zambia is currently looking for a Workshop Supervisor for its operations to be based in Kitwe.
Candidates should have the following:
- Ensure rebuild work quality according to Komatsu Standards
- Manage, control and organize the work of workers in the workshop – ensure fill utilization of workshop labour
- In charge of planning the jobs ensuring fill utilization of available labour
- In charge of writing detailed assessment and assembly reports for every workshop job
- Weekly and monthly planning to workshop manager
- All core assessment / component assembly reports to workshop manager
- Weekly HSE report to HSE officer
- Daily attendance and sickness records to Workshop and HR managers
- List of parts required for every job to the Warehouse Officer and Workshop manager
- Keep organized detailed records and pictures of every job
- Keep detailed labour records for every job
- Keep tracks of every consumed parts
- Assist the staff technically and trains them
- Gives practical assistance, on-the-job training and technical advice to subordinates
- Maintain safe working practices – improve the safety in the workshop
Requirements
- At least 8 years’ experience in a fully equipped REMAN workshop dealing with mining machine component
- Very good knowledge of mechanics and electricity
- Hands on Technician experience
- Degree/Diploma in Auto Mechanics
- In-depth knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical tools necessary in a REMAN workshop
- In depth knowledge of 860-960 truck components
- Effective communicator
- Stress management aptitude & problem solver
- Firm and organized leadership skills
- Currently working for a Komatsu dealership in a similar position is an advantage
- Good reporting abilities (in English)
- Good IT knowledge – Excel – Word – PowerPoint
- Proven ability to work with machine workshop manuals
