Field Service Technicians

a) Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for the day to day execution of passive maintenance and prompt response to NOC escalation to meet customers’ set SLAs for problem resolution.

b) Roles and Responsibilities

• Perform activities related to maintenance and repair management
• Identify issues on sites and report to the line supervisor
• Adhere to the company’s HSE and COC policy on work execution and vehicle management
• Carry out the required monthly maintenance schedules as provided by the line supervisor.
• Ensure telecoms power systems are fully functional and working at optimum efficiency
• Ensure site assets are kept in proper working condition.
• Coordinate with site security to ensure commodities like diesel are safe.
• Site fuel management

c) Qualifications and Competences.

• Diploma/Technician certificates or Craft certificates in Electrical, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
• Valid driver’s License
• Member of EIZ
• Knowledge in telecoms power systems e.g generators, solar and hybrid technologies
• Ability to service generators (changing air filters, fuel filters, and oil filters).
• Ability to carry out earth resistance tests and analyze site protection systems.
• Sound knowledge of solar system optimization.
