We are therefore inviting applications to fill the following vacant positions in the Supply Department Lusaka Plant

Boiler Attendant (X1)

Band: XII-B Contract: Permanent

The successful candidate will report to the Team Leader and will be mainly responsible for the following:

• BOILER OPERATION – Ensuring Boiler operates efficiently to supply steam continuously
• Ensuring Coal stocks are adequate to avoid stock-outs.
• TEAMWORK – To co-ordinate with production staff and liaise with them so that there is no stoppage.
• SELF DEVELOPMENT- Training needs to be discussed with superior
• OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HOUSEKEEPING – Boiler and boiler house and surrounding floors kept clean at all times.
• Correct use of PPE’S at all times.
• Safety valves on boilers tested to ensure proper operation.
• SYSTEM- Company administration system followed and deadlines met on time.
• Production times followed timeously.

This jb is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following requirements:-

• Minimum of certificate in Mechanical fitting with Knowledge of boiler operations
• EXPERIENCE: 2 years as a boiler operator
• Physically and medically fit.
• Hard-working
• Able to do shift work.
