We are on a journey of transformation and exponential growth and we are seeking a dynamic, world-class HR Manager who will partner with the senior project management team to enable and drive strategic and operational HR functions.

About the role

Reporting into the Finance and Administration Manager you will be an important member of the management team and will be accountable for the implementation of strategic and operational HR initiatives across the project. Supported by the Head Quarters (HQ) HR team you will be required to drive the HR agenda in Country. You will partner with the Finance and Administration Manager to ensure best practice HR standards and benchmarks are being used in alignment with the overall HR strategy. It is expected that you will proactively manage all people related risk and provide solutions accordingly. Some of your key accountabilities will include end-to-end HR generalist responsibilities such as Talent and Succession, On-boarding & Exit management, Engagement, Employment relations, Performance management, HR Projects, Reporting, Annual and review processes and Rewards and Benefits management. You will also in consultation with HQ build management capability across the program, develop a value-based culture focusing on learning and growth and delivery of excellence and establish a client-centered culture within the HR in-country team. You will work with the Organisational Development and Talent Teams at HQ to ensure optimal employee engagement and world-class practices and standards are in place in-country.

Your experience and qualifications

The successful candidate will have a minimum of seven years’ experience operating in an HR Generalist role with a mix of strategic and operational responsibilities with exposure dealing with Senior Management.

It is essential for you to have a BA degree in Human Resources and to be a Member of the Human Resource Institute of Zambia.

It would be desirable for you to have a post-graduate degree in Human Resources.
