The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing data from multiple data sources to respond to high-level business questions and provide insights on operational performance and work with various units of the business to define, design, and develop analytical reports to meet business needs for Sanlam Life Insurance.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent periodic performance reports and analysis
  • Perform initial analysis to assess the quality of data for use in preparing reports
  • Perform further analysis to draw insights from data and reports
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports based on analysis and presenting to management
  • Participate in process improvement projects

Minimum qualifications and experience

  • Full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
  • Degree in Business, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • At least 2 years relevant working experience in auditing, financial reporting, financial modelling, data analysis, strong customer orientation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High integrity
  • Ability to analyze, model and interpret data
  • Methodical and logical approach
  • Computer literate, numeracy skills
  • Ability to plan and schedule work and meet deadlines
