Business Development Manager – SME: Izwe Loans Zambia PLC
Job Purpose
- To build corporate off-taker relationships for value chain business with their SMEs
- To grow and retain a portfolio of SME clients trading with the business
- To ensure best in industry collections within the portfolio
- To innovate new, secure product offerings for SMEs while maintaining a high standard of collections
- To ensure world-class customer service and leading class turn-around time for transactions
- To ensure low attrition levels within the portfolio
- To meet required targets for sales, revenue and profitability within the portfolio
Experience
- Banking or Financial Services Background
- Strong salesperson with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales function with at least two at supervisory level. A strong bias for sales capability.
- Proven track record of dealing with SMEs and supply chains in Key sectors of Mining, Oil Marketing, Manufacturing, Utilities, and Telecoms
- Proven ability to prepare a detailed Credit Application for both Corporates and SMEs, with sound knowledge of credit principles
- Proven ability to provide leadership for high performing teams and hold high-level discussions and presentations with prospective clients
- Good interpersonal skills.
Education Requirements
- University Degree or equivalent in relevant field
- Fluent written & spoken English
Personal Attributes
- Willingness to work within and/or outside Lusaka.
- Valid manual drivers’ license is an added advantage.
- Highly analytical with a high level of drive, energy, and interpersonal skill
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to function across cultures
- Strong people management & communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate teams
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
